lol. i think you gotta have a bit more patience. this could be one of the biggest things to hit the mpc in quite some time but it's probably a b!tch to implement. i'm hoping for an extensive midi cc implementation but we'll see what happens. i think he's been working on it for a couple months now and in the meantime is doing these bugfixes to keep the community happy. either that or he is working a dayjob flipping burgers due to low OS 2 sales & thus has no more free time to code. :(

i just noticed this on JJ's FAQ page. i don't recall seeing it before. is this new info and has he decided not to do the midi CC implementation, or is this old pre-OS 2 info?

Q:
Do You ever intend to implement multi-timbrality mode on MIDI IN?
Is the functional addition of the MIDI implementation of the internal parameter by "MIDI CC" possible?

A:
The addition of this function was tried.
However, many change was required, and since it became clear that OS had to be remade fundamentally, JJ said that an addition was
difficult.
For making this OS, JJ said that two years of time would be required.
Therefore, though regrettable, the MIDI implementation of the internal parameter by "MIDI CC" is actually difficult.

so that's it then? the dream is over?

oh well. i'm sure JJ gave it his best shot. as stated in the faq it probably just required so many changes as to require a complete low-level rewrite of the os. have to wait for OS 3 for that.

hopefully he can expand the current q-link control a little bit, however.
