Okay i know this has been discussed... i guess.. but it didnt touch the point im wishing to discuss about with yall...
recently, ive spent a lot of time working with NATIVE INSTRUMENTS battery 3... and (ironically) with FL studio's directwave.. they both work well when it comes to finding dope drum sounds to trigger... the thing is... i cant find a way to use them with my 3k...
i know this sounds silly... but the workflow that comes with sampling each and every drum sound, sound by sound... gets me tired... its cool when i do basic drum patterns.. but ive been workin on my own particular style and i have to mess around with a lot of time stretching and wave bending functions with my drum samples... functions that my 3k simply doesnt have...
I felt like.. i should make my beats, then REDO the drum in my 3k... but its ugly.. and i risk high disapointment when it comes to finding the same exact groove
I was wondering what do u guys do to include the 3k in ur digital nowadays works... cuz no matter what type of drumline i put together on my comp.. it WONT be as tight sounding as my 3k... id love to use both..
Since its analog.. its difficult to think of a way to use those vsts efficiently...
To be silly id add :
So im kinda lost... what in the world does a cat like Swizz beats or Timbaland do... ( i know timbo is not on an mpc..) to get a good workflow with BOTH analog and digital ...
i mean is it silly to think of some kind of a midi to daw to analog.. to ... daw.. to.. damn i cant think..!!!!!!!!
this could change my life... i strive hard to find a way to work with both! i really need advice on this one
