What do you mean 3/8 chop? What is this in reference to? In what context did you hear it being used in?

I guess its a way of chopping so that your sounds can transition alittle easier to the ear, its a way of sampling rather than sampling on the "1".

why don't you just chop to each note instead of trying to chop to a time signature? set up pad mutes then your chops will sound smooth...learn your machine man...

No matter what you call it, you chop the sound wherever you want, and have it playback inside the sequence whenever & whatever tick you want.

It's on you and what you do with it.

Do you mean switching from quarter notes to triplets and back again? that's easy, just set the timing on a track to (for example) 1/16(3). Or are you talking about makin beats in 3/8 time?
