I sent the link to the original post to JJ, to see his reaction. If you accuse someone of something, he/she should at least know about it...

Yeah, good idea to inform JJ about this. Let's see what he says.

For me, what that guy from Akaipro said, makes sense. And JJ's reluctance to make OS for MPC 500 can only confirm their accusations. Apparently he's no source code like he had with 1000's OS. Well, that's what I think after reading their answer. It may be true or it may be false, though.

If what Akai said about JJ is true then JJ is gangsta.

JJ broke the machine on purpose so that people would hate Akai then he sells you the update you were supposed to get for free. LMAO

And everyone loves JJ???

wow, if there will be a chopshop in the 500, I def. will buy one! hope the akai guy is serious!

Can anyone confirm any of this? JJ was my god, perhaps he is now my Judas. I have to know

they should make a movie after JJ and akai. i will be playing JJ of course cuz i'm the man.

The question is not if the Akai guy is serious... Its if the guy who posted all this is serious. He could of just made all this up...

And to eimer... There are 2 sides to every story. Who knows JJ might say something completly different.

JJ - JJ (Hayashi) did work for us. He was the software engineer on the MPC1000 and MPC2500.

How could JJ be responsible for the bugs in the 500 if he didn't work on it!!?

Just to clear this a bit up:

Chopshop 2.0 on the 500 won't be like on the 5000. Since the display on the 500 is not a graphic one you won't be able to chop the files. That won't be usefull if you can't see the waveform. But it will be able to open and import Chopshop 2.0 files.
It also will support post processs for a software application that will convert REX files to Chopshop 2.0 format.

I'm sure that Akai rep is telling some untruths about JJ. Anyway If JJ did what they say then cool.
They should of handled buisness better. They been screwing MPC owners over since the 1k.
Payback is brutal.

JJ also has nothing to do with the 500, 4k or the 5k being bugged out. So can Akai explain that?

Akai could have the BEST portable Music Productin Machine ever and they keep playing.

Stop Playing Akai!! Get a dedicated coder on the job and give us something to look forward to.
You need to have at least 2-3 coders to each Production Model.

HOOK US UP! We spend money. I got MPD32/MPD24/MPC1000/MPC500 -Add that up

JJ is succesful because he knows what we want. A bug free MPC with new/cool features to play with.
