transposing issues

Hey fellas. I'm trying to transpose a melody from a sound module I have midi'd to the mpc down a key. In the older os versions you could go to sequence edit and choose +12 or -12. Now in 4.99G when in sequence edit-transpose, it only has a pad selection field on the right half of the screen. I've searched all the manuals and forums trying to find the answer, but can someone simplify how I can +12 or -12 an entire track with this new os?

you need to change the track from drum to midi.
(drum tracks will send midi out, but only on midi tracks can you transpose in semitones)

the akai os works the same way though, you probably switched it by mistake or started out with different default sequences or something.

i wish there was a way to make all the tracks MIDI by default.

yeah, i should of said template sequence instead of default sequence to avoid confusion.
