Unfortunately Akai decided to delay the planned bugfix update on the 4k OS. So please don't hold your breath for this. They are working on a MPC500 bugfix/update right now, among other things. Time and resources are the problem. As always. :|

At least we have a documented buglist, which is not as shocking as some threads on this forum would make believe us...

I knew you were full of sht with tthis whole bug list thing. your whole plan was to get us (the 4k owners) to stop going over to the 5k section and knockin it for what it didnt have and to build up confidence in potential future 5k owners that the wouldnt get dropped like we did with our os updates

You got to admit this was on alot of people`s mind at first. I don`t think it was your plan cuz you seem to be an up and up guy. But as far as the company you work for. I will believe it when, I see it. And like you said we shouldn`t hold our breath.

Buglist or not I`m still going to work on my music. I give you respect for at least stating the obvious. Thanks scd. MusicII was some Akai employee that ran off when one negative akai comment came his way.

As said many times before: I do not work for Akai in a sense that I am/feel like an employee. For me it is hobby (the betatesting) and love for music and the tools that make music possible (in my case mainly synthesizers). I thought/hoped Akai would become enthousiastic about a 4k update. There is even a bugtracker online for it, so...
But of course I know in the back of my mind that the odds are not too good. But as long as my contact there (and it is someone who has an important saying in it) does not drop the plan we can dream about it right?

MUSIII: now I understand. After reading the posts, yes, that is probably an Akai employee, though I do not know who he is.

delay? It was never going to happen and it never will.

don't hold your breath  Isn't that the same thing you were told when you started the bug list?

gul·li·ble [guhl-uh-buhl]
–adjective
easily deceived or cheated.
Also, gul·la·ble.

EX. SCD is gullible, he believed AKAI would fix the OS.

I am really disappointed that the MPC 4000 will most likely not receive another update. I was thinking about getting another one when news of a potential OS update was released.
