How to copy notes in a track I think you mean is to go to seq edit, press copy and next press copy to you will see time length and pad on top and sequence number and track at the bottom with time paste point and you are set. :D

No. Its not there.. You can only copy and paste all pads or 1 specified pad to all pads or the pad you are copying from.. In other words you cant choose wich pad to copy the data to.

u hve to be more clear on the q.. I hve no idea of what you are asking

you can copy note/pad or multiple notes/pads to diffrent tracks
and
you can copy pads within a program to other pads within another program,
and
you can copy notes within a track to another track and have other notes/pads play thouse notes by transposing them or by switching programs..

I have no idea if this helps or not .. good luck

i know what ikke means.

He wants to MOVE midinotes to other pads in other tracks. I always do that with copying track 1 pad a with midinotes,, to track 2 with midinotes, and change the sample i want on that point in sample assign.
But copying to other pads in other tracks in one function would be a lot eassier.

This problem is kinda like the cutting problem i reffered to.

I cant believe all this things we want are nt possible.. I now more agree with all your negative posts on this machine, Mohammed.

MPC1000 can do all those things.. Are we missing something on the 4k?

copy the notes you want to another track,

change the track to keygroup then use transpose +/-12 to move the notes up/down REALTIME

this is simple, whats the problem.. the 4k? nah comon fella ..
if the 1k can do it the 4k can

Ah ok, Thx. Is there no other way? It would be easier to paste immediatly to the desired pad. Otherwise I have to convert everything all the time..

Come to think about actually what you were asking couldn`t you just change the note number to the pad since a pad is a trigger to play a certain midi/note number which triggers the sample. If you haven`t recorded any midi notes in an sequence track, you can change the notes on a pad.

Changing the notes in a sequence track that has been recorded to play back with notes from another track may involve copy and paste with replace to all other notes. I hope it helps or I may misunderstood your question I will check the MPC 1000 manual to see what you are asking if you can send the page number.
