Problem with sounds

I just got my MPC and Ive having a few problems. When I play my drums, Ill lay down the hi hat but when I add the kick and snare, they go over the hat and basically delete it. Its the same with my samples. Its like itll cut off the other sounds, how do i stop it from doing that?

sounds like youre trying to record stuff on the same track using record. use overdub if you want to do that.

or you might have your program set to mono so the MPC can only play one sound at a time from that program.

or youre trying to play too many sounds at once.

sounds like the case of mono program.

just go to program and find a part where it says about the playmode... switch it to poly...

mono is cool to use if you have long loose samples and don't want them to overlap...
