Is it a must to buy good midi cables

I remember back when i got mines the lady at the store said the ones that cost more money are better and sound travels better with them. I look at her with a odd look because i know sound really dont travle from point a to point b with midi wires. Well as of late i been tring to make beats on my motif es and mpc 2000xl and when ever i do something with strings i seem to always be off beat or things will loose being on beats before to riff is over. Ill slow the beat down and try again and the same thing happens. Sometimes ill get it to work and sometimes not but al of this made me think about my midi cables might not be good or the ones that cost more might send info faster from point a to point b. What yall think.

The more expensive ones might lose less signal. Are the cables long?

yeah.. it really doesnt matter how expensive the cables are....... its the length of the cables.. if the are really long you might lose sigal integrity....

Hey I heard of midi cables burning out after yrs of use so I think it's best
to get yourself a good pair of midi calbles I just bought 2 5ft cables today
Hosa brand cables to be exact.
