Yo!

I just bought an MPC a month ago, and so far, I haven't used it too much. Guess I'm too used to working with FL Studio.

Anyways today I want to get started for real! My questions are:

2. When I've loaded a sample, chopped it up in 8 or 16 pieces, and assigned them to the pads, how do I find the right BPM of the sample?

2. How do I change the tone of the chops that I've assigned to the different pads? Say, I want to move it two tones up (quicker) how do I do that?

Since I'm still new to the MPC1000, I need this explained thoroughly :-)

Also, I'm sorry for my English. I'm from Denmark so my English isn't too good :-)

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I've looked in the manual but it's either to confusing for me, or the answer to my questions aren't in there...

1. Use the Tap Tempo-funktion to get to the BPM-area of the sample. Just feel your way to it.

2. You can do it in different ways. Go to Program Mode and change the tuning on the sample there. Or assign the sample to the slider and tune it there. or you can use Pitch Shift (this wont effect the samples BPM though).
You can also assign the sample to the 16 Level-function and record from there.

whatever suits the project
