Help me run my MIDI lines!! please

aright here whats happenin, as of right now i have midi in of my sound module to midi out of my mpc. then midi in to midi out on my midi controller. when i play the keyboard while the mpc is recording i can only hear it through the headphone jack of the module but plays along with the mpc and not out the monitors out of the mpc??? im gettin more confused as i try to explain. SO, basically all i want is to hear what i play from the keyboard through the monitors that are connected to my mpc. (i have the 2000xl if that matters at all)prly not. peece everyone

try connecting the audio outs of your sound module to something. If you have a mixer they should connect there if not try to find a receiver or something to run your audio to. MIDI is only a computer language, it does not repricate soundwaves.

of course, i see on the back of the module it has a pair of audio inputs.....so if i geta mixer i can run the lines to the mixer and i can hear everything played through the keys from my monitors?

there you go! Run the audio outputs from the MPC and the sound module to the mixer and you are all set.
