Dvd 24bit to 16bit...uhhhh...

What up everybody!? Okay so I got a dvd soundkit and have converted all the samples to 16bit 44.1 kHz but about half of them sound messed up. I can convert the sounds individually through sony acid but that would take like ten years cause I got about 3gigs worth of files here does anyone know what maybe be wrong here or know of an application to convert files to 16bit 44.1kHz in large amounts that also doesn't mess up the soundquaility? Any help would be extremely helpful, this has been messin with me for about a week lol

You should use dithering when downsampling to a lower bitrate to reduce the loss of quaility.

Most audio editors have some form of dithering available, you might need to enable it.

And most of audio editors also support batch processing, so that it is possible to automate sample rate conversion and other tedious repetitive operations. Check out help or manuals on the batch processing.
