Wrong file in mpc 1000

Hi i have an old blue mpc 1000 with a jj os not quite sure which one as there seem to be about 20 i think i have version 3.07 or something anyway when i installed this i was told that it would sort out all my wrong file bulls**t when loading programs and seq's. I was told aslong as I format the drive twice it should sort it out i have and i still get the error every time i create a program and seq but it tends to happen 75% of the time when saved to hard disk.

Now i have many seq's programs that i want to keep is there anything i can do to save these or are they simply unsavable?

and how can i clean up my hard drive so i can save my work.

Im currently thinking about ditching the mpc's altogether as I have had nothing but problems with it

The JJ OS won't fix any of the corrupted data. But it'll prevent the MPC from corrupting it in the future.
Whatever data you can salvage, you'll have to rebuild those projects again with the JJ OS.
After that, you'll be good to go.

This happens to me all the time - i create a program - i use it a few times to play and when i want to load it after a week or two its says "wrong file". I have an old mpc 1000 - with a 80gb harddrive using the akai - 2.11 os. Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid this?

yes, that's what we're all talking about:
get the free jj os 3.08 (or os1 or os2) then format you compact flash card and harddrive.
this kills the bug.
