Patched Phrase Bug with LFO [JJos2 v1.11]

LFO doesn't work on any patched phrase samples until either a 'note off' (sample=note on) or end of sample (sample=one shot).........with any of the LFO pitch/filtr/level settings.

so during any of the sample's duration its not active until, oddly enough, you can hear the LFO suddenly become active after note offs, or at the end of the sample (if theres any decay on it).

freaky

has anyone noticed that the "Note Repeat" function plays the samples really quietly when recording, but then on the switch to overdub, they're back to the correct levels - like the velocities recorded are correct as played by the pads, but just as the "Note Repeats" are put down into the recording, they play at very low levels.

Bug1: in PROGRAM EDIT, when [WHOLE] is on..... i can scroll to screens on right, [WHOLE] is still enabled,
but when i scroll to screens on left, [WHOLE] is disabled......it would be best if [WHOLE] is always active until user deactivates it, by pressing [WHOLE] again.

Bug2: in MAIN screen, if i press "MAIN" button on and off, scren flips between "MAIN" and "GRID EDIT".
wouldnt it be really useful if: when "MAIN" button is pressed again and again, it flipped between "MAIN" and the last used other screen (ie: STEP EDIT - if last used, or SLIDER - if last used, etc...)

hmmm. i can definitely see the value in this. at the same time i also like using the double-press of the MAIN key as a shortcut to GRID EDIT. the best would be if this was a user configurable preference. i wonder what other people think? maybe make a new thread about this in the main topics instead of here in bug reports.

is anyone bothered by the size of the far-right-hand cells (track mutes page), they dont seem to be filled in all the way, like they're a cpl of pixels too short, i'm wondering if its cutting down how many characters i can squeeze in to the cell names.

pedant i know....

its an annoyance for sure, before, and in OS1 [WHOLE] was still intact no matter what pads you touch after [WHOLE] is selected, now any pad touch suddenly and temporarily 'disables' the whole on screen, but a (not so-) simple re-press of [WHOLE] puts it there again.

i cosign the need for the former operation where, - any pad hit - should not disable [WHOLE].

hyall,

i think i've got a bug here -

when "note repeat" or "shift+note repeat" is used - "note on" sounds are at a very low volume (or velocity), but sounds that are "one shot" - the volume (or velocity) is as played.

anyone else?

pce

this effect should be achievable via ADSR, but should not occur with default adsr settings.

me too, but yeah it "should be achievable" - unfortunately the ADSR units aren't quite fine enough to achieve this effect properly, i tried, its close-ish, but the values (ie: D=1) are just not small enough, shame the values aint twice the resolution.....that would probably just about do it.

eg: 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 etc....would be much sweeter.

i dont think its a bug, just normal operation of note off mode. go into the amp envelope(adsr) and adjust your decay, sustain and relase, listen how the sound is changed when you increase these and use note repeat. i though it was a bit weird until i investigated it further.

hi, just a note to say JJ's in on this, and here's their opinion.....

"It is a bug whose NOTE OFF is too quick.
It is not a problem of ADSR."

and i got the distinct impression it will be dealt with over the coming next few updates.
so, cool, i had a feeling it wasn't something to be tolerated as normal os behavior.
