mpc choice, please help

i have a mpc1000 available to me for 600,
and a 2000xl for 550

i kinda want a mpc 2000xl, cuz its sounds lil warmer i heard, and there sturdy machines. but i just need help choosing.

why not make a beat on both machines and see which one suits your workflow? i need to get on a 2kxl to see how it sounds. doesnt it just sample 16/44.1? or is it the audio conversion that makes it warmer?
