do u have sometimes os crashes or freezing with os2 ???
i have the latest 1 and 2 installed annd from the beginning os jjos i have
only from time to time mpc complete halt while playing when there s no sond
ex: while programmin it regenerates itself after 2 minutes when there s sound
playing it s stuttering very shortly endless, only reboot helps.
it s impossible to repete the crash it s very randomly as i am playing live i research
for solution, i have akai ram, no hd, i tried diffrent rams, there was no freeze with
akai os but i never want to downgrade to this buggy kiddish os!!!(support jj!!)
maybe defective mpc hardware, next step will be buying a new one.....
another thing: does anyone tried to go in overdub mode while playing???
sometimes it works on my mpc, it would be really fine to have this feature implemented, overdub on and off while playing without stoppin. like the electribes.

No crash on the 4.99, one on OS2 (i guess it was v1.07)

I froze the mpc sometimes with a midi feedback loop, so avoid that.

To activate overdub while playing you still have to press overdub + play together, overdub alone is not enough.

i also froze the mpc with a midi feedback loop, but was able to save it by either catching it early or just plain catching it. the 'overload' freeze is something i also ran into in Midi Grid Edit, but it's since been taken care of -- there, anyway. reproduce/report all such bugs. actually TRY to reproduce them, even if you fail horribly (some bugs are hard to track down). that way it's not some ogre in the hills
