- what is the difference between immediate start and immediate play, for the next seq function?

- how does the pattern mode work? how come when im listening to a pattern, and then i switch to the main screen it doesnt play? do you have to "print" the pattern to the track somehow?

- is the 2nd Seq function the same as simult?

- whats the deal with the "press main button before power off" / memorized setup? can i not see this because i dont have the option to save yet?

sorry, normally i'd figure all this out on my own, but i dont have any os2 material to play with.

Immediate start plays the sequence from the start as soon as you hit the pad. Immediate play switches to the new sequence immediately but in sync.

Use pattern mode to create and save patterns. Then go into grid edit mode, and insert the pattern into the track. Instructions on JJ's website.

Simult sequence? Yes.

There's nothing to see. Certain settings are saved (stuff like sync settings etc.) when you hit the main button. So if you hit the main button before you turn off the power you ensure that your most recent settings are saved.
