How can I optimize my setup?

Hello to everybody:I have a question for you:I hope you will understand my "almost-wack" English.
Here is the question.
I have this setup:Akai Mpc 2000xl,Akai S950,Motu 828 MK2 Firewire,Yamaha Mg 12\4,DBX 166Xl;now I want you to know the different ways to connect them in order to overuse the entire setup.

I hope you will answer,and I hope to have been clear.

maybe you need a patch bay, to get the most use out of all that stuff, with the least hassle ( ie, unplugging stuff and getting around the back of the units).

midi the mpc and rack up, bang all the outputs into the mixer and use the compressor as an insert.


i'd be more inclined to track straight onto a computer and compress and eq there.

So you think that I can do without the mixer,using only the soundcard?
