RAMP

How do i Know if this RAMP record i just found is original or not. there are no dates anywhere indicatiing anything. the only number on it is TB-6028 on the bottom right back corner. any help would be appreciated

i dont know how to get the pic on but its in good condition. i found on ebay BT 6028 but not TB 6028 im not sure what im looking for. if you want some backward pics i took on photobooth let me know how to post em

1.Start off by looking at the cover. If it's very high-gloss (kinda slipery to the feel and very shinny) then it's definitely a reissue.
2.Check the inner jacket: if it's dark grey cardboard it's definitely an OG. Otherwise if its white you got a reissue on your hands.
3. Smell it, if it smells old and maybe even a little moldy once again you have an OG.
4. Last but not least , check the writing on the cover and labels. Sometimes if it's a lil blurry it's because it's a repress (this is very common with Polydor reissues and sometime other labels like ABC). If you see the © symbol but it has the "P"(with a circle arround which means Printed) and the year of the print is not 76 or 77 than you have a repress.

i think it must be a reissue. its in great condition and the inner sleeve is whitish. i dont see the copyright symbol or the p but its just feels newish. I dont know but i got it for free so i think its a decent come up

Hell yeah any Roy Ayers records for free are good.

this is weird. the labels are all wrong. none of the songs match up to the label, A side is actually B side. wtf??

someone must have changed it or put it in the wrong cover,

check the label aswell they put the date there sometimes.

on all ot his records too if it's flimzy vinyl it's mostly arissue the thicker teh vinyl the more OG,

thats another thing to check too when diggin check the records insdie to see it matches the cover.

find out too,if it wasnt made inthe 80's in the 80's the switched the covers and started using white covers that would fade to yellowish. he did make some music inthe 80's it could be one of those albums.
