hey.

i sampled some high hats yesterday.

i made a track.

the track i made is just how i made it (sounds the same). but pad7 was a certain high hat, and when i play it now, it is a different noise. it almost sounds like theres an effect on it.

i go to mode>program, and put a differnet noise in it, say a snare. and the snare also is different than the original noise.

Ive been hearing a lot about how not installing the JJ OS is bad...I'm hoping that I changed a setting to just pad 7 somehow? and that my mpc isn't messed up.

some assistance w/ this would be much helpful!

could it be that you have 2 of the same samples loaded on one pad. that would cause phasing. or is it pitched up or down? you need to be more specific. when posting issues, you have to make it as detailed as possible. otherwise its all speculation.

When im in program mode, all of the info in every tab is the same for pad 7, as well as all of the others.
The onlyl difference is the instrument that I have assigned to the pad. It's only 1.

Then I'll assign say "Alc Kick8" to pad 1, and it sounds like "Alc Kick8." Then Ill assign the same Alc Kick8 to pad 7, and it wont sound like Alc Kick8. The pitch is 00.00 etc.

Everything seems to be the same across the board except the way the notes sound coming out of the pads.
