how do i track midi out of my mpc?

i'm familiar with tracking audio out of my 8 outs but i have my mpc midi'ed up to my computer via my presonus firepod so i can use my mpc as a midi controller.........how do i track thye sounds from my vst's out of my my mpc to my DAW?

People don't even attempt to know the capabilities of their machines and then they dream up something they want it to do? without even knowing the specifics of what they want it to do in the first place.

I would love for my mpc to wash my car for me but I can't find it in the manual, it's gotta do it I just can't find it on the main menu.

Save your sequence's as a MIDI file, open in daw. Nuff said.

p.s choose type 1 MIDI, as it will retain all tracks and names.

thanks man, thats what i was lookin for

and Lamp arent u a mod to help teach people?i'm pretty sure a school teacher doesn't say "just read the text book before u ask stupid questions" in a condescending tone every time a student raises his hand

lol, i never listened to the teachers at school anyway.

i respect the shit out of lamp and yes i've read the manual many times(15+) over my 5 years of being on this board and having a mpc and i'm far from a expert,just new to using a DAW/midi

it just annoys me when i ask a question(which is not common that i ask one) and i get talked down to like i'm stupid for not knowing everything about my machine,and still get no help

Stig, you got me ALLL wrong here man. Just a few days BEFORE you posted this was another thread by someone ELSE that asked this same question and I gave an answer. I thought it was a VERY ODD question cause that person is not new here and it should have been known already how to do that seeing that I've read that persons posts before and I KNOW that person is not a NOOB.

I HONESTLY thought you were poking FUN at that person with this thread, so I was commenting on what I thought was you poking fun at that post, I was NOT in anyway doing it like you thought I was. I couldn't believe that question came outta that persons mouth and I thought you were poking fun at them, like I said, you had me pegged all wrong here. You've read my posts, you KNOW that I can be sarcastic most of the time AND I'll help in detail when it's not in the manual. YOU KNOW ME, lmao..... I wouldn't do that to you though.

Like I said, I had NO clue that you were being serious, I thought you were joking. So sorry you took that the wrong way.

If I had have thought you were serious I would have typed the same answer as nanoloop, cause that's exactly what i'm thinking now, that's the answer....

Not sure if this refers to the same thing you're trying to do, but you could also just trigger the VST's from the patterns played on the MPC and run the VST's to audio tracks in your DAW. Would be a lot quicker than saving the MIDI files, loading them into the DAW and then routing the VST's to the MIDI tracks.
