I would push those monitors to the edge.

That pic is a bit deceiving, there is still at least 12 inches gap behind monitors. The reason they are placed further back is to make the equal triangle with me in front of my DAW!

I think the reasoning is more to avoid reflection of the sound on the plate in front of it. So I would think pushing back the racks a little further would be easiest.

I would never be able to feel comfortable with having the turntable so far away from the mpc.

Only changed all this yesterday. turntable is not even connected yet. neither is my MPC, My os 3.5 is coming sometime this week so I'm not going to connect it all till that comes

When my Rhodes MK2 comes I'll stick turntable on top of that (next to MP)
