Hi, I see there is a Firewire cable in the back of the MPC. I connected that to my Powerbook G4 but no devices show up.
I either read on here, or in the manual, that you can drag and drop samples into the Device that shows up on your computer.
If this is true, what am I doing wrong (I dont have JJ yet)
Come to think of it, I think it was on the JJ OS instruction page that I saw I needed to drag and drop the OS into the device hard drive.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
PS, if u can drag and drop single shot samples such as high hats etc (I have a ton of them on my comp), would u recommend doing that, or sampling at the highest Rec Gain possible?
Lastly, should I be saving my samples individually to my Card? I sampled my first like 20 single shot instruments, and then saved to card: "Save all samples and programs". I realize that could become problematic for my RAM (I just purchased a 256 card, sohudl be coming soon) when I acquire a LOT of singleshot samples?
A little help on the best way to save samples would be helpful. Thanks!
