Recording 8 Outs on 2000xl

Hey can anyone help me with setting up my mpc 2000xl so that it records out from the 8 outs into Protools. I have the 8 out expansion installed. I just wanted to know what the settings configuration on the mpc should be so that the sounds come from the individual 8-outputs.

Well do you have a 8 outs Audio Interface first of all?

Yes. How do you assign the outputs?

Go to your mixer in the MPC and change the outs to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

I'm at the mixer page but dont see where are the outputs section...

Above the channel volume there is dashes like this - - - - - - - - - change those with your jog.

Oh Ok.. Now will this let me record each individual track from the mpc to its own track in protools once i set up the protools inputs?

Yeah you just probably want to setup your Midi Time Code or whatever in PT's so you can sync up the MPC with PT's.
