(I hadn't had it fired up so much recently, as I'd been working in a DAW more and more)
Just wanted to say I still founded it a rock solid machine and very useful.
I had it sequencing 3 different analogue synths (two directly via MIDI, another
via a MIDI > CV-gate convertor)
and playing about 6 layers of drum parts from its own sampler.
Once I had everything cooking, I could press play on the MPC4000, have everything playing,
and capture it all into my DAW in multitrack at once
(using the ADAT out of the MPC4000 for the drums into my PC soundcard,
and the analogue synths into the soundcard analogue ins at the same time).
No plans to get rid of my MPC4000 for a long time to come, me thinks
