7 records 100 dollars wtf

some of them were priced and some of them werent. Going in there you can tell some stuff is overpriced for sre i think the obvious problem i have is impatience. plus all of the spots i look at are pretty overpriced. Im in LA, i need to find some new ones if anybodys got ideas. Also, is it known that it was Alfie? it very well could be but with a sound like that that seems to be a commonish moog effect how do you guys know for sure? is it on the breaks or something? lastly is the album worth having? is the rest of it good or is it stuff to find in other cheap moog records?

Think about it this way. If I were to order this off of ebay and included shipping fees would it be cheaper? If so, don't buy it. Do I really need this record? Do I really need to pay $10 ro $20 for a 5 second break?? If I were to sell this next week could I get my money back or would I be losing some? Is this a record I see myself owning in 3 years?
I dig for samples but if I'm buying something just for a lil sample I sure as hell won't spend a lot for it. If it's to listen to then I think it's worth spending more on. The fact that you live in LA should be used in your advantage based on the fact that there's a pretty good diversity of ethnic backgrounds there and a high Afro-American population which probably had dope Funk/Soul/etc.. records back in tha days.

i love that plantasia album... it's mort garson on synthesizer playing music to make your plants grow. i found a copy in the l.a. area as well last year. i've also got that child's garden of grass record... it's full of great weed samples... madlib's used it a lot as well as some other producers like dj muggs on the first cypress album.

Those are Dollar Bin records. I have some of those. Got them at a thrift shop. For $100 you should really be buying a lot better records than those. Do some research on records and record pricing both on-line and out there in record stores, thrift shops, flea markets, swap meets, etc. before spending anymore loot on on vinyl. Once you know the game a little better then spend some loot on records. At the very least take a bit of time to shop around a bit for a better deal.

diggin is hard man, if you'r goin to be cheap then don't do it, but ,yeah i would say you got took, you need to learn to shop around,don't just go for the first thing you see, it's hard to do but once you get that down you'll see what comes your way for almost nothing.

i just got 35 record for $5. all rarer soul and funk. a radio station near me had a yard sale. it was **** nuts. but if i'd been there 10 minutes later i wouldn't have got shit, i was 2nd on the scene. i haven't had a score like this in years.

so 7 records for $100 sounds crazy to me.
