2000 CLASSIC FREEZING WHEN DATA WHEEL IS TURNED

the machine locks up and needs to be turned off. only way i can make it crash is by turning the data wheel at a decent speed. i took the ram out (32 mb) and it still does this. i got a new os disk and it still does this.

is this a common thing that i just have to work around or is there something i need to fix it?

Nah, thats not common... how long has it been doing this... how long have you had it... and did you buy it used?

had it bout a week. been doing this the whole time. and yes its used. ever heard of anything like this?

its common, mine does it too, mostly when im doin too much too fast and spin the wheel fast , just slow down on it, thats what i did and i havent had the problem since.
