Ok so if i was to buy one of your card readers- would i be able to cut up my samples in peak or recycle- export to a flash card. Then would that flash card be readable by the MPC - via your reader?

Absolutely! Any file format that the MPC can read can be imported on a CF card. Create the file on your computer, use a USB card reader to write that file to a CF card, then put the CF card into the SCSI card reader attached to your MPC and load it right into memory. It's just that easy!

I have an internal atapi mcd in my 2kxl. Yes you can do exactly what S4S says you can. Easy. You'll open up a WHOLE new world once you get an MCD, it's crack, you MUST get it. LMAO.

i was so close to ditching the mpc and going software after numerous jaz/zip drive malfunctions..touch wood the MCD has been perfect so far, and allows me to back up all my data on the comp/external hard drive :D

Thanx, I guess I should give up with the usb thing already :( , I just cant figure out whats wrong with my card reader and if ima buy a new one I want somthing ill !!!

where did you get this internal atapi mcd? have i got this right your MPC 2000 (xl) reads off the same memory card that the mpc 1000 uses? and its internal?.....sweet

Yes I am able to use the cf cards. Many people here have an internal mcd in their mpc. People put up pics all the time.
