OK, my "autoload" folder loads up great at start, but none of my projects do.
I keep upgrading & I've tried 2 cards as well as formating each card w/ the MPC like in the F.A.Q. thread.
I make a new folder name it & save entire memory within it.
I keep my names simple, all caps w/ no spaces even... for instance my newest folder/beat is named "JET".
I have to load the whole project 1st, then each program 1 at a time afterwards.
I also must choose to overwrite same samples.
The MPC loads like 1 sample every other program & then fills every other pad with an annoying click.

This is what happens when I load lets say... "JET".
Obviously it loads the sequence data and such because, all the programs & tracks are named.
Now when you press play it just clicks.
Moving on now if you load each program & overwrite each 1 at a time it finally works as it should.
Also it takes like 1 or 2 seconds when I load my projects, which obviously isn't enough time to be loading much.
I'm always running out of ram and purging and shit w/ the 128mb

Just to get things clear for me:

1. Do the problems occur with all the projects you load, or just the ones in Autoload?
2. Do you load the folder or the (.prj) file within it?
3. Is the folder with the beat you want to load automatically placed in the root folder?

I just tested the Autoload functionality on OS 1.12. I had to move the folder which I wanted to load to the root dir in order to enable autoload and the select that folder from the Auto Load Menu. Restarted the MPC and it just loaded the project, including all samples, sequences and programs...

Did you reset the machine yet?

i have this problem too, and i found with trial and error that even loading up programs sequentially doesn't always entirely sort it out...

plus my MPC currently only sees a quarter of the installed RAM on OS2... didn't have this problem on OS1...

stan thank you for trying to help.
i have an autoload folder that is 90 or so mb.
the .prj file is named autoload.
i keep all songs in a folder of thier own.
they all have a .prj file named whatever the folder is.
so if the folder is named jet then the .prj is named jet.
the autoload folder is in the CF root while all others are in a folder named saved beats.

your solution of moving each folder to the card root just may work.
it makes sense since the autolaod loads proper.
never thought of that, but i feel good about the chance.

i will deff try it & report back tomorrow.
i'm done 4 the night

I think you should take out the AUTOLOAD for now and try to load that folder as a separate load and see what comes up.

Plus, even though you have an AL folder, are they all .wav or have they been messed with at all? When I create samples I make the program but sometimes I have to use PAD187 to load a bunch of sounds that I may have sampled from other places and it creates a new program... are all the AL stuff a program??

Just wondering...

Well to report back...
The moving the project folder to the root of my Cf card didn't work.
I would have a folder named "Jet" w/ wav files & all sequence/program data all in 1 folder named "Jet".
The folder would set in the root just like my "Autoload" folder.
No, I wouldn't change the samples any. Anyhow, I save entire memory.
I've also tried to load a project with the "Autoload" folder not even on the card or loading up at start.
For instance I turn the MPC on w/ no card in it.
Then I've even inserted the factory's CF card w/ only 1 project & all data in a single folder in the root.
It still does what I say up above in my other post.
I'm also only using "Jet" as an example. I have mad projects that all do this same thing.
It seems my problem is a common problem, so that's cool.
What is not cool is the fact that my problem doesn't go away w/ the common fixes.
Sorry for the book-style posts, but I'm just trying to be clear.

P.S. If I hold tap & use OS1 it loads up all my projects as it is supposed to.
The weird thing is I've made every project I have on my CF cards w/ OS2.
I have no projects left that I made w/ OS1, but OS1 loads my shit right.
IThis is no solution though as I'm using the track mixer & other OS2 features often.

Thanks all for the help, but I'm throwing in the towel.

Newest JJOS fixes the problem.
Didn't change a thing & 1.16 just works.
Went back to 1.15 to test it & same old problem.
Funny thing is that this problem has been going on for update after update.
I never reported it & there is no mention of the bug or a fix from JJ.
I spoke w/ him personally thru email & he has no idea why the bug exists or why 1.16 fixes it, but it does.
