MPC 2500 - AXIOM KEYBOARD - REASON 4 "NEED HELP" !!!

HEY WASSUP I HAVE AN MPC 2500, M AUDIO AXIOM KEYBOARD AND REASON 4.

IM TRYING TO USE REASON 4 AS A SOUND MODULE WITH MY MIDI KEYBOARD FOR MY MPC 2500....I HAVE EVERYTHING CONNECTED RIGHT BUT WHEN I TRY TO RECORD FROM THE KEYBOARD AN REASON 4 INTO THE MPC THE SOUND FROM THE KEYBOARD DOESNT RECORD INTO THE MPC....NEED HELP!!!

AND IM ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRACK SECTION, WHEN I RECORD DRUMS ON TRACK 1 AND THAN SWITCH TO TRACK 2 TO RECORD I DONT HEAR THE DRUMS THAT I DID IN TRACK 1 ?

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN....NEED HELP!!!! THANKS!!!!

Seems like you got a whole load of manual reading to do.

Oh, and turn the freaking caps lock off.

I think that a MIDI to 1/4" adapter from Guitar Center will get the job done for you. Just go in there and ask the sales rep. He will be able to hook you up.

you need to plug a midi cable from the axiom to the mpc. only then will you be able to record what you play from reason to the mpcs sequencer. also you need to have a midi cable from the mpc to the computer thru a sound card with midi or a midi box with usb.

YEA I HAVE MY MIDI CABLE COMING FROM MY KEYBOARD TO THE MPC AND I CAN HEAR THE SOUND WHEN I PLAY THE KEYBOARD AND I CAN HEAR THE SOUND FROM REASON IN MY PAD BANK ON THE MPC WHEN I HIT THE PADS....I CAN RECORD SOUNDS FROM REASON WHEN I HIT THE PADS ON THE MPC BUT NOT WHEN PLAY MY KEYBOARD

i have the same exact problem, i thought i was going crazy until i found this thread but yea, i cant record the midi notes into the mpc with the axiom, if i want to play the pad bank i can record all i want, but who plays melodys with pads??? please help!

Make sure in reason you only have the mpc as a controller not the axiom. Aslo midi out of the axiom to midi in of the mpc.

Or even better, ask for a pair of headphones with a MIDI adaptor instead of a 1/4".

thats funny an audio midi converter... imagine tring to explane that to someone "can i get a 1/4" to midi"

Try running your axiom on external power and take out the USB..should work
