:( HELP! Aaaaaa!

MY Roger Linn's going on werd,

I put in a S900 disk, it reads/loads fine, 'i do my thing.

Then! i'll decide i wont to save my song/sounds on a Floppy Disk/Zip 100 or 250, BUT!
before i save, i have to "FORMAT", new disk.

Formating in progress and all is fine,

Then i'll save all data from the "MPC 3000s memory on the media.

Now! .........i beleve that all sounds and stuff is saved on the disk.

So then i press the "DISK" button, on the "AKAI MPC 3000" and then the load button number "8", and it keeps saying that,.......... "THIS DISK IS NOT AN AKAI S1000 OR S3000 DISK, OR IS NOT FORMATTED, FORMATTED BY A DIFFERENT, OR IS BAD.

Strange because i formatted the disk on the same machine

Has any one experience this problem?

Can some one Elp! Mi!

Hi man,

I had a similar issue with my s900...

The problem was that the head of the floppy drive came loose and wasn't working properly.
When I opened the floppy drive I saw this and glued it back onto the head "arm" .
Everything work well after this...
You may want to open up the machine and check it out....

??? Thanks! man,

But is say's this even when connecting a zip drive to the SCSI port, on the rear of the MPC 3000 ROGER LINN,

So i don't think it's got any thing to do with the floppy, cause when you "check it, If the floppy don't work or, 'Dodgy, "Then why dose the scsi say the same thing, Ummm?

look's like something deeper 2 me than a loose head in a floppy drive.

Don't get me wrong...................................... going inside gear is a thing from childhood, but, there's more 2 this.

Peace.

any one out there
