Sometimes you hear a track (or even an entire album) that's poorly mixed even though it's by a well-known producer... or it might even be a hiphop classic, but you still think you could have done some of it better.

Name some tracks or albums where you think the producer messed up (of course old demos and freestyles don't count).

I gotta say, I think almost all snares on Outkast's ATLiens album are WAY too loud...listening to that album with headphones is a pain in the ass (ears, actually), and it bothers me that Organised Noise keep using the same drums all over again.

there's a track on Gang Starr's Full Clip album called The Militia Pt II, Bumpy Knuckles' verse is distorted and clipped all to hell. I don't know how they allowed that to be released.

i believe your referring to "Capture ( militia pt. 3 )" off of "The Ownerz" album... i dont recall distortion on "militia pt. 2" from "Full Clip" which was the track with WC and Rakim IIRC... :D

^Served.

ODB's Return to the 36 Chambers and Dan The Automator's A Much Better Tommorow had terrible mixing. WAY too much bass. The ODB really needs a remixed/remastered re-release, cuz that's a top-10 album
