IF you own a 1000 please help me out

I just downgraded to the one 1k i had the 4000.. I not real good with this CF card thing .......WHEn I buy a New CF in order to transfer files from my computer Do i format the CF to the MPC or just leave the CF how it came ?????

Depending on your OS you could have problems while saving. I'd recommend upgrading to the akai latest OS or JJ OS and format the CF in the MPC.

You see thats what im trying to do but I was having trouble ... so the MPC has the original OS and im trying to upgrade d( drag the files to the cf) i just bought a new CF before I start to drag the new od into the card whats the official word do i format the FC withthe mpc or just leave it how it came.

??no help???

I would say format in MPC then start draggin' and droppin' stuff into it.
