What is the most $ record you own?

The price of a record doesn't have any real relevance. What counts is hat the music is good. Not that I care about it, but if I had a copy of Skull Snaps LP I would just sell it right away to pick up records that no one knows about or that are of bigger interest to me. It's cool to have it but for bragging rights I rather own something every single digger isn't aware of. That said, I have several records that approach the $100 mark but they don't tend to be the ones I like most. One I don't mind mentioning is Hell's Belles' O.S.T.

I couldn't agree more. When you start going hard into finding rare records, it's cool (and $$) but it's not moving music in the right direction. I don't even dig for soul/motown joints. One of my favorite chops came from a record with a headshot of a guy straight out of a "just for men" hair coloring box. Those are hidden gems that I value more than what others state is "rare and valuable".

it's always been that way it's just to many newbies out that gettin into something they are not goin to last a very long time in....hence the music of the today. one hit wonders if that...

I disagree, i take pride in the records that i own that ive searched and searched for and are worth a lot of money.

I have a lot of australian prog from the early seventies. Much of this has never made it to CD and never will, only limited pressings were ever produced, they seem to fetch a dteep price thesedays.

Yeah I have a promo copy of 'It's A New Day' on 45
I've had offers for it for over $3oo because the 45 is kind of rare but the one with the promo stamp is highly sought after by DJs because it's one of the first ever pressings and the sound on most promo copies is a bit louder and clearer than other 45s because they were the first to be cut off the acetate

Took me years to realize this but it is the truth.

Normally I wouldn't put a price on my records... but...
I have seen my rare disco and rare Chicago House records on eBay from $80 - $300.
But I will NEVER sell them!!!

i dont know how much they go for,
but i got honeysuckle breeze, funky drummer 45, a few others..

wow, i didnt know my 4ft version of black moses can go for that much, i paid 5 bucks for mine.

I got it because i love how it unfolds and because of issac hayes.
