using akai sample cd libraries

my first mpc (1000) is on its way to me and i'm pumped as hell and have been researching it like crazy. its my first move in getting away from using my computer for music which just leaves me feeling numb and hackish even after i make a really great track. the only thing i'm not quite clear on is:

Can I use these akai multisample instruments and libraries that are all over the place with the mpc? I'm getting the feeling I can't without programming instrument programs into the mpc itself using the individual extracted samples. I'm hoping I'm wrong. Also i've got a lot of reason nnxt multisample patches i'd like to somehow convert and put onto the mpc (playable with an external keyboard...). is this possible without programming every note on the mpc itself?

Thanks in advance.. the active discussion on this forum has already helped me out a ton. Anyone out there believe i can survive without my pc with an mpc1000, turntable, midi keyboard, and alesis micron (assuming i'm a creative genius, of course..)?

you'll download full folders that you can drag and drop onto the cf card, when you hook it up to your computer
via usb cables it's mad easy. so the answere is yes.
