Try this on your MPC-500

Load your favorite loop into pad one.
Set the loop to "loop on" in trim mode (Mode pad 5)
Set the pad to "Note on" in program mode (Mode pad6)
Pres the sequence button

Now pres and hold pad one until the loop had played once and starts over.
Before releasing it pres and hold shift.
Now let first go of pad one, then the shift button. Your loop should play automaticly now.

Go into trim mode (Mode pad 5) and make shure the sample that is playing is the one selected.
Scroll right until you get to "Edit: Select"
Push the "right" button and scroll till it says Edit: Reverse.
Hit the "DO IT" button and the sample starts to play in reverse.

Now try to edit the trim "Start" and "End". As soon you go into "Edit: Discard" and hit "DO IT" somthing odd starts to happen. Try to go to the "Reverse" again to obtain more obscure effects.

NB! When you go out of Trim mode the loop will stop.
