So I'm confused. Im new2mpcs (duh) and never seen different MPC1000s. How can I tell if my MPC has the GOOD pads. There has to be a certain version only that has em, and therefore how can i find what version mine is.

THANKS!

Conversion of $150 AUS to US dollars comes to 143.167474228671 according to my conversion. So if that is including AUS shipping, shipping to the US should not be more than $100? $243 US dollars is right up my alley, I am just waiting for the company to email me back and confirm they ship to the US, what do you guys think?

Well nevermind that idea, they won't ship em to me sooooo..... Kind of a stupid email response but it went a little something like thiiisss:

"Hi Rashaad, Akai is an american company so I would suggest you order the kit locally.

Try going to the support section on the akai pro website.

www.akaipro.com/contact/index.php"

Why would I need to order these if I could get them locally? It's just not mean to be. (I can hear Freddie Mercury) and another one dies x 2..... (you know the rest).

Here is what I got from mpc stuff with regards to the backorder of the pad upgrade. Thought you all might want to know.

Akai like always has no solid answers about anything. Supposedly we are supposed to be getting a large shipment in July of the pad kits. Not quite sure what large is exactly but we have over 200 sets on order. I dont foresee anytime soon having these pad kits available without waiting on the waiting list. Akai is just producing them too slow. You would have to pay first to be on the wait list. We did it before without payment and it made the whole ordeal very hard once the pad kits came in.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can be of any help to you.

Best Regards,

Michael Minehart

i'm using os2, and my mpc has the new pads (thank fuk) but i still feel that it takes a bit of pressure to get full velocity.

i have every pad set to 25, not that this bothers me, but i want to have my pads fine-tuned so that even a mouse fart will trigger them.

any ideas? have i missed something this whole time?
