Anyway to getyour samples together, assemble it as a PGM file, and then upload it onto your MPC1000 without having to do it on the MPC. Like some kind of software. Would appreciate the advice peeps.

This is my first message to the board, hi to all!
www.mpc1000.com PGM editor works quite well for me, drag&drop your samples from the explorer to the "pads" adjust settings and trasfer (save) the program in your HD then just upload it to the 1K.

Cheers.

yeah, it's as easy as that...

i tend to just set up the samples on the pads in the PC program creator and apply the settings in the MPC cos it is quicker to select a parameter (eg: tune/mute group/one shot) and change it as you flick through the pads than to do it on the PC Program.

It's 1.07 version i assume that it's not a beta, but some weird bugs still in it...

Cheers

"if you could give step by step instructions it would be greatly appricated"

From what I understand the application has step-by-step instructions. Have you read them?

"but some weird bugs still in it"

Have you tried emailing the author about this? He is not aware of any bugs in the software and if no one emails him about it, then there are still no bugs in the software.

Basically start the program....select the directory with the sounds in it. MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT really low bit rate or that they are not really wacked out format. WAV files or AU files work fine.

Drag and drop them on the pads however you see fit. Plug MPC up via USB and hit Transfer.

Thats it.
