3000 vs 60

the 3k sound comes off like a harder hitting 60.

That's a new one.

I chose the 3000 over the 60 when I considered that access to the S900/S950 and the Emax is pretty good and those have a similar appeal. However, if you had to choose either one to start with, I think you would be fine with either. They're about the same cost now (the MPC60 is cheaper but you need all the upgrades to make it comparable... and there the price different goes to nothing).

I still want a 60II.

I´ve owned both and the 3000 isn´t dissapointing me! the filters, the filters + OS 3.50

The 3k can kill the sound of the 60 with proper sampling, use of the filters and the higher output it produces.

get a 3000 !
