So i sampled a break and chopped out the 2 snares one had a dope attack the other a better tail so i wanted to layer together.

Image

Ok so i have Snare_1 on A01 and Snare_2 on A02 but when i decrease the decay on A01 it also ads the same decay setting for A02, is there a way to program each sound in the program separately ?

one way would be to set them each to their own pad, adjust them to your liking, and then use the 'Simult Pad' feature to make both pads play simultaneously

You could resample at that point if you wanted to and have it on just one pad again

if i read phunny's post correctly... i think they already were on seperate pads.

if so, then i don't know what your problem is --- which OS are you using? 1 or 2?
which version?

i might be getting confused on this --- i was going to give the exact same response
as you DVS... but the screen shot is of GPE, and the pads are referenced - 'A01, A02' etc...

so if i'm wrong --- take DVS's advice bro!

if not --- give a few more details about your problem.

hmm yeah -- I completely overlooked that they were on separate pads already. I assumed they were layers of the same pad

if they are A01 and A02 though then there's no reason why A02 should be affected by A01's settings

put the samples on pad a01 and a02. on pad 01, set sustain to 0 and decay to a short value, so you only hear the attack. then set the attack for a02 to a high value. now simult the pads. you gotta tweak a little so they don't overlap or phase.
after that you can work with the sample as one snare or resample the sound.
hope this helps.

Whow, that´s a tricky riddle :D

From the screenshot it seems like theres a BD on pad 2...

We demand more information!

the screenshot is just one off the JJ website, it's not meant to directly relate to the question
