installing a hard disc into mpc 1K

hay everyone, i've had a search around but can't find any tips on this so...
i got a drive and the adaptor thing the other day; before i go ahead and pull the mpc apart, does anyone know of a step-by-step for installing and setting up a hard disc into an mpc 1000?
