one pad, two samples, two different note behaviours

is there no way i can put two samples on a pad and make one of them note on and the other one 'one shot' like in 2.21, 3.08 or 4.99? and i don't want to use simult pad,
help! i need this! i'm cereal!

use simult pad - play behavior is PER PAD in os2.
in what scenario wouldn't you want to use simult pad?
