I just got an mpc 1000 and I'm thinking about what else I'm going to buy to set up a basic studio. Right now all I have is the mpc, a yamaha MM6 Keyboard, a behringer xenyx 1204 mixer, and a Marshall Electronics MXL V57M Studio Condenser Microphone. I'm thinking about getting a Lexicon Omega and having everything run from the mixer into that and use cubase 4 on the pc. Now I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about it because I dont know if it will pick up different tracks on cubase if I want it to. Well anyway Please help me out and give me some feedback.. every little bit helps

Sounds like a good idea (getting the Lexicon Omega). Get it from somewhere that you can return it at (like Guitar Center) and you can test it out to see if it's what you want. I've returned so much shit to Guitar Center because it wasn't what I wanted.

From where you are now, you definitely need a recording interface of some sort -- or a recording interface period.
