Hey. My rec gain knob is busted. I believe it is my potentiometer. I opened up the mpc1000 casing, and noticed the board the pot is connected to.
I've never done anything like this so if someone can give me some steps I'd appreciate it.
First of all...how do you get those 2 white connector strips and 1 blue strip off? I haven't tried the blue one. But I tried pulling, lifting, pinching etc the white ones and they won't come off. I've used quite a bit of force.
Then I unscrew the board. And I've never unsoldered something. What, do I flip the board over, and apply the solderer directly to the board to heat up the lead already put down? Then pull out the old pot? Put the old pot in, and solder that down?
A bit of information in any or all of these steps would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
