Is this possible in the XL?

Ok I was wondering if this was posible to do in tha Akai MPC-2000XL

I have a 2 bar sequence but I want to extend it to lets say 4 so I can add some filter movement when in song mode, my question is this; when you make the MPC to convert the 2 bar sequence into a 4 bar one it adds 2 blank bars, now is there a way of coppy and pasting your first 2 bars into the empty 3 and 4 bars?

Yes, it is possible to to do it how ever it may be just as easy unless you have a ton of events to just program it in by hand...or just go into song mode and play the sequence twice and convert it to a 4 bar that way.

i forget where the hell the screen is but you can copy bars...i think its on the main page, edit, then copy and then bars (that could be completly wrong) but yea you can copy bars and paste them in the same sequence

Naw you got it right vinyl_junkie_1620. It is on the main screen, press edit, press bars, then make the adjustments there.

Yo' thanks for the page numbers, I did have a look for this in the manual but I was looking at the wrong bit regarding bars. I was looking at the bit where you press open window when you are highlited on the bars.
To be honest I will usualy read a manual cover to cover but my MPC didn't come with one and all I have is a shitty PDF which I can't stand cos I can't look at the screen for long periods of time as it hurts my eyes.

You could print out the manual.
