MPC1000 RAM and CF card Recommendations

Hey guys I'm trying to buy some RAM off eBay:

SAMSUNG 256MB SDRAM SODIMM PC133 256 MB 133 Mhz 144PIN

Everything seems the same except it doesnt, and the seller doesnt know if its CL3.

The seller doenst have a clue on what I'm using the RAM for even when I've referred him countless times to these forums.

Hopefully this is the right RAM for my MPC 1000 to boost it up to the neccessary 128MB.

Could anyone verify this, it would be greatly appreciated

Just got my kingston ram today and it WORKS!!Installation took 60 seconds i paid 35.00 for it.Im gonna buy a 2gb card this friday

I've got a hylix pc133u-333-542 cl3 133Mhz ram chip. I can't find any evidence to say that this one would work in my 1000, but if I tried it could it possible harm my mpc in any way?

tryed it anyway diddnt work......

I'm using a Lexar 4gb CF card in my MPC 500. So far no problems.

anyone get a 4 gig card to work on the 1000?

i would actually prefer flash cards to an internal hard drive, it's a lot easier to swap data on the fly & transport to another studio or machine.

I tried a Micron CL3 Sodimm 256 and it didn't work....Just couldn't read it and sat a green screen...
But then i tried a Micron 128mb, but CL2 and not CL3. That worked...kinda weird the 256 CL3 didn't work and a CL2 would..
I also just got 2 4gb compact flash's by danelectro and those work...did i read a previous post saying 2+ wouldn't work??

Does anyone know if this will work with the 500?

The specs look correct. For $20, you may as well give it a try.

Does anyone know a website where you can purchase either the kingston 256mb ram or samsung? i have ordered offline three times now, and both orders end up getting canceled because either they are currently out of stock or do not carry the item anymore. And does it matter if the ram is SDRAM? Im not sure what this means?

I just got mine from the link I provided earlier it works great and it took maybe 7 days from CA to NY.
The Infineon one I posted was out of stock so I got the Micron one instead.

is there a limit to the gb size of the cf card that the 2500 can use?? seems everyone is talking about 2gb cards, when i know sans disk makes 8gb cf cards, why wouldn't you just buy one 8gb rather than 4 2gb etc. Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times but ive had an mpc for about 2 days now lol

and if you can only use 2gb cards, can someone tell me why that is?
