questions about mpc500 and mpc5000

I plan to buy mpc but I never use any so I don`t know what mpc iz right choice for me.
I saw demo on akaipro.com for mpc5000 and I really like possibility to trigger 4 samples just pushing one trigger, so can I do this with mpc500 or that function is only on mpc5000? Thanks

that`s also on the 2000 classick.......and far cheaper.

The 500 can also layer 4 samples. Just like on the 1000 and 2500.
When ur a beginning producer/ beatcreator I'd recommend to go for the 500 first. Learn the basics, learn the mpc. Cuz the 500 is a real good one for beginners. Really. After that u can upgrade it to a 1k or 2500. Or sell it easily if u don't like it. I would only go for the 5000 if I would really need it, or when I have too much money to spend.

I don`t think reselling the 500 will be easy.why not start with a used but high quality tool?as the 2000 is.

You mean trigger one sample after another, (also called round robin) right? If so, to my knowledge that feature is unique to the 5000. If you mean layering four sounds then, yes. that feature is available to all mpc's.

I watched demo for mpc5000, and on demo that guy put 4 samples on 4 different pads, and when he hit first pad, all four starts in same time. I think on this.

Is this supported on mpc500, if yes i will buy mpc500 beacause he is more cheaper then mpc5000!

i would go for the 1000 for a first decent MPC.

the 500 is a toy for hollydays

ii would go old skool an maybe start wiith a mpc 60 or 3000 but iif not then the 500

just get the 1k with jjos

Sold mine easily, but didn't get a lot of money for it. Didn't mind cuz I had a good deal for a 1K.
