What are the skins made of and Are the durable? I don't know if anyones ever heard of vellum , but its what they use to make woodgrain dashes in cars and what not.

I know someone that has a facility that does it, so I might get my side panels vellumed out to look like the Lincoln black wood .

you guys should watch out with painting buttons your skin often has contact with.

I like the sound of the wood stuff, it will make your 1000 look like it was made by moog if you put chrome buttons and white writing.

sweet! but did you attach the panels with screws?

had to drill and tap through the side due to the factory bracket style not being too wood freindly. you can see the 2 holes. the screws are counter sunk so you dont see the head

those wooden panels are so wide... that looks nice! great job, man.

yea i just bought this on a temp basis after i sold my xl. i had to do something to make it bigger. the xl is huge compared to this. and the 4000 im getting is even bigger.
