yo if u have a 2000xl select the sound in program mode then in params goto auto. It will make the sound be mapped acrroos the keys in pitch.

it bumps out the first program
Go into program mode and switch it back to the original DRUM1 program. I wiuld then assign the auto chromed one to DRUM2

hello Binger0,

thanks for the help

yes i have the 2000 XL

so i need to go to "auto" in the "params" ????

do i need 1 or 2 midi cable? how shall i plugg my MPC to Keyboard?

I will try tonight but i am sure that i will find the "auto" feature, i never saw it before

so if I do that, I should have a sound of my MPC declined over my midi keyboard and ready to record on my MPC???

anyway thanks a lot man, and anyone who can help me too

If the manual of the mpc1000 shows no trace of the auto chromatic assignment then it seems that you will have to do it by hand. Make 24 copies of your sample and make sure your program has notes assigned increasingly to all the pads (bank a pad 1 = 35 bank a pad2 = 36 ...) now assign the 24 copies to the pads (bank a bank b)and tune each sample starting from -120 up to 120 in steps of 10. That way you end up with two octaves of one sample.

thanks for tryin to help me but i fnd that when i set the tune to even -10 the sample is so long that it sounds chopped up and in diff. pieces. In the 2000xl when you do this is there any way to change the pitch or tune without the lenth of the sample changing.

if i set it to -120 and 120 then i would have one sample that is like 6 second long and one that is around half a second...

i dont evnev know i just want to get this to work... whatever peace
