grid resolution

It seems the display in the grid resolution has changed in OS2, ie when you have TC in 1/32 mode in doesn't show up as 32 blocks in 1 bar as it did previously. Anyone else found this?

I'm not sure I'm following you here. If you walk me throught the steps, I'd be glad to try it out.

OK, this is just something I noticed without a thorough look so maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. If you go to grid edit in a drum prog change TC from 1/16th to 1/32nd. Now glide over the grid with the jog wheel, the solid vertical rectangle ides between two blocks on the grid,, ie it does not display 32 little blocks per bar only 16, now I can't remember in which version this changed . I need to have a closer look at this tonight just to confirm.

yeah, JJ changed this in one of the os 2 versions (i forget which one).

some people (myself included) aren't too happy about it.

I see what you mean, and yeah, I'm not sure if I'm too crazy about it either. One thing that seems kind of strange to me is if you start a beat using 32nd notes, then shift to 16th notes, the original 32nd notes seem to run together on the screen. They do seem to play corectly though. Anyone else see what I mean? Are you not supose to be able to switch?

zoom and TC have been disconnected
previously, if you turned off TC, it zoomed into a resolution of 1/96. this made using TC off unusable in grid edit

i suggest you use Midi Grid Edit, which allows TC and ZOOM to be completely different. you can zoom to any non-TC based horizontal zoom, and record in any TC in any zoom

midi grid edit is basically just a better sequencer all around.

I agree that it's very wack for drum grid edit ! The os1 way is far much better.

the os1 way was wack for those not using TC.
again, use midi grid edit. it's superior in every way but 1 (pad pattern) to the "drum" grid edits.

I understand your point but you had an alternative in os 1 (midi grid edit). For those who don't want to use it or only use drum grid edit it has become useless in os2.
